Certified Financial Management Professional (CFMP)
The Certified Financial Management Professional (CFMP) programme by the International Federation of Professional Managers (IFPM) Global, is a distinguished professional certification designed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in modern finance management. The curriculum integrates core financial principles with strategic financial planning, risk management, investment analysis, budgeting, performance measurement, and corporate financial governance. It focuses on developing strong analytical, financial decision-making, and strategic management capabilities required to manage financial resources effectively in various business environments.
CFMP is ideal for Finance Managers and Directors, Accounting Professionals, Graduates and Aspiring Finance Professionals, as well as Non-Profit and Government Finance Officers seeking to strengthen their financial leadership competencies. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will earn the professional designation “CFMP” awarded by IFPM Global.
In addition, a key benefit of the programme is full examination exemption to the Accredited Financial Analyst (AFA) certification awarded by the American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM), USA—providing an accelerated pathway to further international professional recognition. Academic & Professional Progression
Exemption from 2 of the 6 modules required for the Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership & Management (Institute of Business Administration, Hong Kong).
Full exemption from the examination for the Accredited Financial Analyst (AFA) designation awarded by the American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM), subject to the awarding body’s requirements.
Progression to the Certified Professional Manager (CPM) programme, with the opportunity to complete one project paper to achieve either:
Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership & Management (Institute of Business Administration, Hong Kong); or
MBA from Douglas Business School, subject to the awarding institution’s admission and graduation requirements.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should meet one of the following criteria:
SPM/STPM or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years’ working experience in finance, accounting, banking, auditing, taxation, or a related field; or
Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree; or
Professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in financial management and obtain an internationally recognised professional certification.

Duration
6 weeks, with online classes conducted every Saturday, from 2.00pm to 5.15pm.
Professional Recognition
Successful graduates are awarded the Certified Financial Management Professional (CFMP) designation and may use the CFMP post-nominal letters after their name, showcasing their professional achievement and enhancing their credibility with employers and clients.
To gain the CFMP designation,
- Complete the CFMP Certification Program.
- Pass the CFMP Online Examination (50 Multiple-Choice Questions)
- Satisfy the minimum 2-year work experience requirement.
- Agree to follow the IFPM Global Professional Code of Ethics.
